Your trophy – your partner
Happy couples are pleased to be seen together and are often in some kind of affectionate contact - hand on hand or hand on shoulder or knee or back of neck. They are not showing off but rather just saying that they belong with each other.
Being together even while going to bed
Remember the beginning of your relationship, when you couldn't wait to go to bed with each other to make love? They go to bed at the same time, even if one partner wakes up later to do things while their partner sleeps.
Learn to trust and forgive – easily
When an argument takes place, try not to grudge the other person. Forgive and move on.
Hug bug
Nothing like a warm hug from your partner. There really doesn't have to be a reason for it as it is welcome any time in the day. But after work, however, couples look forward to greeting each other with a hug. It communicates love and a feeling of all-is-well, which is most important in a happy relationship.
Hold hands while walking
Rather than one partner lagging or dragging behind the other, happy couples walk comfortably hand in hand or side by side. Being with the partner is more important than taking in the sights.
Right or wrong – together forever
Special somethings
Saying 'I love you' once a day is almost like a prescription for a great relationship. Similarly, saying 'Goodnight' with a kiss tells your partner that, regardless of how upset you are with him or her, you still want to be in the relationship.
Be a patient listener
Anyone can talk, but how many of us actually listen to what our partner has to say? Maybe at the end of a day, or when one has had a run-in with the in-laws? By listening intently to your partner, you communicate 'I am there for you' feeling which is like none other in the world.
